Endless Mode — Undertale Soul OPs 2 Farming Guide

Post-Gaster scaling waves, coins, and long-run survival.

Last updated:

Endless Mode opens after your squad defeats Gaster in Normal’s Multiverse Malfunction arc (Beat Gaster). Instead of ending the lobby, the run continues with scaling waves — enemy HP and spawn pressure rise while the same six souls stay in the center. Endless is the primary coin funnel for Tier 5 upgrades (1,250 coins per step, Economy), badge progress (Unlock Characters), and testing Tier List picks under stress. This guide covers when to enter, how long to stay, and how not to lose a 40-minute streak to one sloppy soul throw.

How to access Endless Mode

Complete the Gaster encounter on Normal — clone stun, soul throws, Universe Core phases. When Gaster falls, the host chooses continue to Endless (wording may vary by patch). Squads hunting the Dio Sans coffin first should read Secrets — some lobbies leave before Endless to chase secrets on a fresh queue.

Hard Mode clears do not replace Gaster learning — most players unlock Endless through Normal Gaster first (Normal Walkthrough).

What changes in Endless

Core rules stay identical to Defend Souls:

  • Protect six souls
  • Perfect waves still grant +25 coins when no soul takes damage
  • Shop between waves still sells packs, turrets, perks
  • Controls remain M1/Q/2/E/R (Controls)

What scales:

  • Enemy HP and damage per wave tier
  • Elite spawn frequency on outer lanes
  • Boss-like units may reappear as mini-elites from UT, Underfell, and Outertale pools
  • Healer stress — Support kits must be Tier-upgraded to keep pace

There is no published hard wave cap; communities measure personal bests (wave 50, 100, etc.) on Updates threads.

Optimal Endless loadout

Bring a comp that survives attrition, not just burst:

RoleGoalExample direction
AttackSustained cleave, not glass cannonSee Playable Characters
AttackElite delete before soul touchUndyne-style range
DefensePermanent inner anchorToriel / Asgore
SupportHeal scalingSupport with strong E
FlexTurret buyer or second SupportShop-dependent

Validate five-stacks with Team Comp Checker before marathon runs.

Coin farming strategy

Endless income = wave clears + kills + perfect-wave streaks. Two perfect waves equal roughly one Tier step’s bonus alone (+50 coins).

Farm loop:

  1. Enter Endless at Tier 3+ minimum on mains
  2. Perfect-wave the first 5–10 Endless tiers while enemies are still readable
  3. Buy turret upgrades on your weakest lane (Economy)
  4. Leave voluntarily at a personal breakpoint before burnout wipes (common: after one bad soul phase)

Use Tier Unlock Planner to mark which character hits Tier 5 next — focused farming beats spreading coins across five roster picks.

When to end the run

Endless has no victory screen — you choose when to extract value.

Good stop points:

  • After hitting a Tier breakpoint mid-run shop
  • When two Supports are dead and souls are one hit from wipe
  • When perfect-wave streak breaks twice — DPS may be too low for current scaling

Bad stop points:

  • Rage quitting after one Gaster-style throw mistake — souls recover if team stabilizes
  • Staying past sleep-deprivation — mechanical errors cost more coins than one extra wave pays

Surviving late scaling

Late Endless reintroduces telegraphs from bosses you know:

  • Underfell Sans blink patterns near souls
  • Fresh-style wide projectiles
  • Omega Chara spike floors

Treat every elite like a mini-boss: save R for soul emergencies, not DPS padding. Console players rely on LT shift-lock for clutch dodges (Controls).

Hard Mode vs Endless for progression

Hard Mode Dream Sans teaches mechanics; Endless pays for Tier 5. Fresh Sans farmers should clear Fresh Mode first, then bring the unlock into long Endless streaks.

Multiplayer and idle players

Five-player Endless fails when one player AFKs during shop. Host should kick before wave 20 scaling. Communicate extract vote — “last wave then quit” prevents half the squad leaving mid-fight.

Vote skip on repeat mini-boss intros saves minutes over hour-long farms (Controls).

Events and patches

Events occasionally boost Endless coin rates or add mutator waves. Re-read Updates after OyunKlavuzu patches — scaling constants change silently sometimes.

No promo codes affect Endless (Codes — none stable). Avoid Scripts that auto-farm — report risk and learn dodge patterns instead.

  1. Beat Gaster — unlock requirement
  2. Economy — spend coins during long runs
  3. Defend Souls — perfect-wave discipline
  4. Unlock Characters — spend badge progress from marathon lobbies
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Undertale Soul OPs 2 players.

How do you unlock Endless Mode in Undertale Soul OPs 2?

Defeat Gaster on Normal Mode in the Multiverse Malfunction arc. The host can then continue the lobby into Endless scaling waves.

Is Endless Mode good for farming coins?

Yes. Long Endless runs stack wave rewards and perfect-wave +25 bonuses, which fund Tier upgrades at 1,250 coins each.

Do perfect waves still matter in Endless?

Absolutely. Each wave with zero soul damage adds +25 coins — critical over 50+ waves of scaling.

What Tier should I be before Endless farming?

Tier 3 or higher on your main character is a comfortable minimum. Tier 5 is the long-term goal for late scaling.

Can you play Endless in Hard Mode?

Endless unlocks from the Normal Gaster clear path. Use Hard Mode for boss skill checks, Endless for sustained coin farming.

When should I stop an Endless run?

Stop after hitting a Tier breakpoint, when healers are exhausted, or when repeated soul damage shows your DPS no longer matches scaling.
